Day 30 #stradaeasel and I had plans for another nocturne but I ended up sketching this fragment of the elaborate fall themed still life I set up @flowercityarts for my drawing students. This is a charcoal of a mini pumpkin on a block.

Day 29 #stradaeasel and the overcast sky plus the more-than-crescent moon gave the sky a soft gray tone and the moon looks like fuzz. My 12x9 pastel capture on brown Canson Velvet paper.

Day 28 #stradaeasel and I painted the early morning sky and stars and the light from the house across the street while sitting on my front steps at 6am. 9 x 12 pastel color study on Canson Velvet paper. #suburbanview

Day 27 #stradaeasel and what a lovely day to be outside painting. Alas, that is not what was in store for me today. Instead, here is my 5x5 gouache on mounted coldpress of peaches, plums, and a pear by candlelight.

Day 25 #stradaeasel and I did another demo drawing of a pear in charcoal @flowercityarts . That inspired me to go home this evening and play with pastel on paper by candlelight.

Day 24 #stradaeasel and I had time to sketch outside on a #grayday I sat on my front steps and sketched my red maple. 11x9 pastel on sanded surface

Day 23 #stradaeasel and here is my demo for fundamentals of drawing class @flowercityarts Value drawing on toned paper using charcoal. The second photo shows my students with their work. Awesome work from a wonderful class.

Day 22 #stradaeasel and this is a 9x12 oil of three apples I created as part of a demo of different mark making. I used credit cards and painting knives and lots of scraping of the surface just to see where that would take me. @artstopllc

Day 21 #stradaeasel and another look at #roseofsharon blossoms before they’re gone. Pastel 6x12.
