Sunday morning I took a short but taxing hike to paint the beaver pond on the back side of Gannett Hill in South Bristol. Today I’m dropping off my 12x12 oil “Outrider” for the juried show Horse Power which will open June 6 with a reception from 3-6 pm @mainstreetarts in Clifton Springs. I’ll also teach a two-session workshop on drawing horses from life in conjunction with this show. The workshop will take place at Finger Lakes Thoroughbred Adoption Program’s barn in Farmington with plenty of beautiful horses to sketch!. #horsepower

I made willow charcoal today! I still have some finessing left to go but I love the velvety black marks. The crumbly pieces will get ground up to make ink. Happy-happy!
